If you buy 200 leeches versus 200 minnows you'll save yourself over $2,000 in cash. If you're level 31 I recommend using Leeches over Minnows. Not exactly sure why since I haven't looked at NY much lately. Certain cloudy days I don't tend to get more than 100lbs of fish while other days 198lbs isn't an issue. For bobber fishing I used anywhere from a #1/0 to #3/0 hook at Emerald, but the larger the hook here generally the fewer the bites. Fish don't seem to love bobber fishing at night, so if you're fishing at night you'll probably have to switch up to lure fishing at night. On the dock move a bit more to the left side and cast directly ahead approximately 130-170. What's worked for me is setting my line length to 65in (165cm) and using either Leeches (less expensive when you're higher level) or small minnows. I find float fishing for Walleye can be a bit spotty at at times. Since you're float fishing and you're at Emerald Lake you're probably most interested in Walleye.
